The
cottages
Welcome to our cottages. We hope you enjoy browsing through them, and we know
you will feel at home, when you come to stay. All our cottages have wireless
internet access, but mobile phone reception can be tricky. Please go ahead
and give our landline number to close friends and family, so you can be reached
while you are away. Don’t forget to include other people in your group,
who are travelling on the same day.
Dove Farm cottages are non-smoking.
We can only accept doggie guests (maximum of 2 dogs) after prior arrangement
with ourselves.
Terms and Conditions
The three cottages and Dove studio are adjoining but do not have connecting doors. Instead, they all open out onto an enclosed patio garden, which serves as useful, shared outdoor space, and an easy way for guests to move between the cottages.

Equipment: TV + video/DVD player, hifi/CD player, electric ‘living flame’ fire, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, laundry basket and clothes pegs, broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, vacuum cleaner, torch, umbrella, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, dual fuel cooker (electric oven + gas hob), hand held electric food- mixer, generous supply of crockery and glasses, generous selection of pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Selection of books and toys for younger children – to be shared with other cottages. Gas BBQ in garden, for all cottages.
House notes: Large and spacious rooms, good for putting in
extra beds or cots. The kitchen works well as a ‘kitchen base’
for larger groups. The cottage is closest to the hen houses, so you will hear
the cockerel crow in the morning, especially in the master bedroom. –
not a good choice for light sleepers?
Notes for the less able: the ground floor is accessible for wheelchairs
and those with limited mobility. Shower room is generous sized, with level
floor. There is only 1 grab rail in shower area. We have a free-standing shower
chair, commode style with arm rests. The toilet has 1 lift up grabrail and
transfer space to left of WC, with basin to the right (user’s perspective.)
The kitchen is not adapted for use by disabled guests without some assistance.
Electric sockets and light switches placed at convenient height in other ground
floor rooms. Wide internal doorways (to standard external spec. of 33 inches.)
Carers will appreciate the uncluttered space. Patio garden area to rear of
cottages has a level hard surface, enabling easy access throughout indoor
and outdoor areas. Immediate area around car park and cottages is manageable,
so some experience of a farm stay is possible, with views of farmland and
opportunity to get close to animals. Play area has hard surface path and picnic
bench suited to wheelchairs. Rest of farm area is not accessible.

Quality bedlinen and two towels per person included
Sleeps 4 + cot in 2 bedrooms, all ground floor
(an additional guest bed may be placed in twin room, if required, though it
leaves very little floor space.)
Bedroom 1: double bed
Bedroom 2: twin beds
Bathroom: WC/shower cubicle/bath
Living room with dining table: table seats 8 people
Comfortable seating for 8 people
Kitchen: well-equipped, with generous quantities of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cookware. basics provided, include tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, olive oil, flour and condiments.
Equipment: TV + video/DVD player, hifi/CD player, electric ‘living flame’ fire, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, laundry basket and clothes pegs, broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, vacuum cleaner, torch, umbrella, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, dual fuel cooker (electric oven + gas hob), hand held electric food- mixer, generous supply of crockery and glasses, generous selection of pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Selection of books and colouring pencils for younger children. Board games for all ages. Gas BBQ in garden, for all cottages.
House notes: this cottage has the largest living room area,
and is the middle cottage, so it tends to be the one where everyone gathers
together. Guests in the group who like to go to bed early, may prefer to choose
bedrooms in the other two cottages! The bedrooms are smaller in this property.
An extra guest bed may be placed in the twin room, but only recommended for
a child. Because of the large living area, an extra table can be brought in,
to create more dining space. This could be when the studio is not available,
or when ‘cosier’ surroundings are preferred.
Notes for the less able: the living room and bedrooms are accessible
for wheelchairs and those with limited mobility. The toilet and basin is on
the level, so would suit someone with limited mobility. No space for wheelchair
next to toilet. Bath and shower is raised on high plinth and not suitable.
The kitchen is not adapted for use by disabled guests without some assistance.

Wren Cottage
The three cottages and Dove studio are adjoining but do not have connecting doors. Instead, they all open out onto an enclosed patio garden, which serves as useful, shared outdoor space, and an easy way for guests, to move between the cottages.
Quality bedlinen and two towels per person included
Sleeps 5 + cot in 2 bedrooms, all ground floor.
(living room also has sofabed)
Bedroom 1: double bed
Bedroom 2: single bed + full size bunk beds
Bathroom: WC and wet room style, shower room
Living room: comfortable seating for 5 people
Kitchen with dining table: table seats 6 people, well-equipped, with generous quantities of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cookware. basics provided, include tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, olive oil, flour and condiments.
Equipment: TV + video/DVD player, hifi/CD player, electric ‘living flame’ fire, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, laundry basket and clothes pegs, broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, torch, umbrella, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, dual fuel range cooker (2 x electric ovens + gas hob), hand held electric food- mixer, generous supply of crockery and glasses, generous selection of pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Selection of books, games and colouring pencils for younger children. Gas BBQ in garden, for all cottages.
House notes: the double bedroom is generous in size, and
can easily accommodate an extra guest bed. As a general rule, larger groups
do not require 3 living rooms, so we have put a sofabed in this cottage. We
suggest that you may want to convert the living room to a bedroom during your
stay, and have fitted privacy ‘catches’ on the doors for this
purpose. For safety reasons, we do not permit children to use this room as
a bedroom. An extra shower has been put in the studio, to provide additional
bathroom facilities for guests staying in Wren cottage. The kitchen is large
and has been equipped close to a catering standard, to help groups who are
cooking for larger numbers. We suggest that guests use this, together with
Barn owl kitchen, as their ‘cooking base’ because of the ease
in bringing food through to the studio. Guests ordering the dinner party service,
please note that the caterers will work from this kitchen, and will need all
surfaces clean and clear, and dishwasher emptied before they arrive!
Notes for the less able: the ground floor is accessible for wheelchairs
and those with limited mobility. Shower room is generous sized, with level
floor. There is only 1 grab rail in shower area. We have a free-standing shower
chair, commode style with arm rests, and small shower stool. The toilet has
2 lift up grabrails and transfer space to right of WC, with basin to the left
(user’s perspective.) The kitchen is generous sized but not adapted
for use by disabled guests, without some assistance. Electric sockets and
light switches placed at convenient height in other rooms. Wide internal doorways
(to standard external spec. of 33 inches.) Carers will appreciate the uncluttered
space. (Single bed in second bedroom is ok for disabled guests, although space
is limited in this room.) Patio garden area to rear of cottages has a level
hard surface, enabling easy access throughout indoor and outdoor areas. Immediate
area around car park and cottages is manageable, so some experience of a farm
stay is possible, with views of farmland and opportunity to get close to animals.
Play area has hard surface path and picnic bench suited to wheelchairs. Rest
of farm area is not accessible.
