In many respects, short breaks are harder to plan for, because you haven’t
got time to find out things for yourself while you are away. We hope we have
given you lots of information on these pages, to help you plan a successful
short break at Dove Farm.
We have designed a simple room planner, so you can print it off and allocate everyone to a room. Useful tip: print off a couple, because there will probably be a lot of crossing out, before you are happy with the end result!
helpful hints for your group stay
• Communicate relevant information to all members of the party. We will generally have one or two contact people in your group, and will rely on them to tell everyone else.
• Go with the flow! Once your group arrives, you may find it almost impossible to get everyone to do the same planned activity, all at the same time (with the exception of hen parties who are very good at this.) Why not do what you want to do, and let others sort themselves out. You can meet up again later, and everyone will be happy with their day.
• Plan your departure as carefully as your arrival. It is our main condition of hire, that the cottages are handed back, clean and tidy – just as they were, when you arrived. Please do not underestimate the time it can take to achieve ‘clean and tidy’ – and try not to be the one left holding the hoover, while everyone else waves a cheery goodbye after breakfast on Sunday!
While you are planning your stay, do call or email as often as you like, with
any queries or requests. We want to help you get things as you want them to
be. If you would like to come and have a look round the cottages and studio
before the date of your stay, you will be most welcome, but please do arrange
this with us first.
