Farm and Riverside Trail

One way to enjoy the Staffordshire countryside, is to walk along our farm and riverside trail, while you are staying at dove farm.

The farm trail is a fairly easy walk, of approximately one and a half miles. It is mainly across farmland, with some interesting semi-wooded and riverbank habitats. There is one stile, but also a gate to the side of it. The ground is generally soft going, uneven and can be muddy in parts.

Stout footwear is recommended.

The wooden gate in front of the farmhouse, marks the starting point of our recommended route, which leads down to the river Dove. The river effectively cuts between two counties, with the farm being in Staffordshire, looking over into Derbyshire.
