Wow! What fabulous cottages to stay at for my daughter's family hen weekend. They were a real home from home and so well equipped - everything had been thought of. Having the studio was a real bonus and provided us with a spacious room to meet up in. The courtyard area is a real suntrap and so pleasant to sit out in - all 3 cottage doors open onto it. Jane was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and went above and beyond to make our stay so special - I can't thank her enough. Famous around the world, this amazing theme park is on our doorstep. Only 4 miles away, it is one of the key entertainment places to visit and a must for adrenaline seekers, Staffordshire.
Family run business who know how to host hen groups: Activities include paintballing, quad biking, laser tag and archery or select a mix. Suitable for all levels of experience. Less than 30 mins drive.
Just a 5 min car drive and you’re at Dalton’s Dairy. Honesty shop for takeaway treats and The Hatch (seasonal opening hours). Park and go for a walk up the Weaver hills to admire the view and then enjoy a speciality ice-cream and coffee at The Hatch on your return.
Situated between Matlock and Matlock Bath; an attraction of contrasts in the Peak District. Hilltop rides and underground caverns. Here you will find the longest cable car ride in England.
Feed wallabies in one of the Walk throughs. Enjoy penguin antics and be seriously impressed by the majestic polar bears. Well designed, enhanced environments for species great and small, with active breeding programmes to support endangered species. Less than 20 mins from dove farm.
Organising a dance class? yoga class? Need more space? you can hire the Parish hall in Ellastone for a couple of hours. A gentle 10-15 min walk and you’re there.

There is so much to explore in the Peak District, and so many beautiful walks and trails. A visit to the stepping stones at Dovedale is the classic day out. Be warned that it can get super busy on summer weekends.
